Set SolCard as your Supercharging payment method
Open the Tesla app, go to Charging, add SolCard, and make it your Supercharging payment method. Tesla then bills that card automatically for charging sessions, membership renewals, and any applicable fees.
Why SolCard fits Tesla Supercharger billing
Tesla says Supercharging payments for Tesla vehicles can only be made and managed through the Tesla app. SolCard fits that stored-card setup, so you can keep a designated payment method on file for routine charging stops.
If you drive a non-Tesla EV, Tesla offers an optional Supercharging Membership that gives Tesla-owner pricing when you charge through the app. The fee renews monthly, is non-refundable, and can be canceled in the Tesla app, so SolCard can cover both the recurring membership charge and the sessions themselves.
Tesla does not use one universal charging price. Depending on the location, billing may be per kWh or per minute, and some sites also show on-peak, off-peak, or live-utilization pricing in the Tesla app or on the vehicle touchscreen.
At busy sites, Tesla can apply congestion fees once your car reaches the displayed battery threshold or once charging ends. After a five-minute grace period, the fee is billed per minute until the vehicle is moved, so keeping SolCard on file helps you avoid payment issues after the energy portion of the session is over.
Tesla says free Supercharging credits only work at Tesla-owned Supercharger sites. If you charge at a site not owned by Tesla, normal charging prices can apply and Supercharging-related fees still apply, making SolCard a practical backup payment method.
Tesla lets drivers view charging history and download Supercharging invoices in the app, and it offers web receipts for touchless payments at the limited sites that support them. Paying with SolCard does not remove you from Tesla's normal proof-of-payment flow.

About Tesla Supercharger
Tesla Supercharger is Tesla's fast-charging network for Tesla vehicles and many non-Tesla EVs. Drivers typically pay for each charging session through the Tesla app, while non-Tesla drivers can also add an optional monthly Supercharging Membership for lower member pricing. Depending on the site, the final total can reflect per-kWh or per-minute billing, on-peak or off-peak pricing, live utilization pricing, and congestion-related fees. Tesla does not list native cryptocurrency payments for Supercharging, so SolCard lets you fund those charging and membership costs with crypto while staying inside Tesla's normal payment flow.
Tesla Supercharger billing and membership FAQ
Tesla's official Supercharger payment guidance points drivers to the Tesla app, and for some non-Tesla sites it also lists major credit card, mobile payment service, or text-to-pay options. Tesla does not list a native cryptocurrency payment option for Supercharging, so SolCard is the practical way to fund those charges with crypto.
