Pay Instacart with Crypto

Instacart checkout is used for grocery delivery and pickup, but also for household basics, pet supplies, beauty items, convenience orders, and some restaurant delivery. SolCard helps if your Instacart spend goes beyond a standard supermarket basket.

Instacart places a temporary authorization hold because the final total can move after checkout when produce or deli items are weighed, replacements cost more or less, items get refunded, you add products, or you raise the tip after delivery.

Instacart+ runs as a recurring monthly or annual membership, and trial signups can auto-renew into a paid plan unless canceled. SolCard gives you a dedicated payment method for those repeat charges and the membership perks attached to eligible orders.

Instacart accepts major U.S. and Canadian credit and debit cards but does not accept international payments, and it adds extra limits to Venmo, Cash App, and PayPal for categories like Instacart+ subscriptions, restaurant orders, alcohol, or prescriptions. A standard card checkout avoids many of those edge cases.

Instacart's EBT flow still requires a credit or debit card for delivery and service fees, bottle deposits, taxes, tips, and any non-EBT items. Weighted-item changes after checkout can also hit the backup card, so SolCard can cover the non-EBT portion cleanly.

If you place an order several days before delivery, Instacart says the original authorization hold can expire before the order is fulfilled and another hold may appear. You can also reschedule up until shopping begins, and early-stage cancellations qualify for full refunds under Instacart's standard order rules.
