Pay with Shop Pay Using Crypto

Shop Pay is the default checkout experience inside the Shop app and on shop.app, and it also appears across participating online stores plus some Shopify POS QR flows. SolCard gives you one crypto-funded payment method you can reuse anywhere that broader Shop Pay checkout appears.

Shop says Shop Pay can be used for subscription orders at participating stores, with management available from your Shop account or the store's own customer account. SolCard is practical when you want those recurring store charges funded from crypto instead of a separate bank card.

Shop Pay Installments is a separate Affirm flow limited to eligible stores and customers in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, within specific order ranges. SolCard still works for ordinary pay-in-full Shop Pay checkouts when financing is unavailable, declined, or simply not what you want.

Shopify documents USDC on Base inside Shop Pay when a Shopify Payments merchant enables it, but that direct crypto option is store-dependent and limited to one coin on one network. SolCard is more flexible when you want to spend other crypto assets or the merchant only offers card-backed Shop Pay.

Shop Pay saves shipping, billing, and payment details, then verifies checkout with a passkey, SMS code, or email code. Once SolCard is stored in that wallet flow, you keep Shop Pay's fast repeat checkout across participating stores without re-entering payment details each time.

Shop notes that changing your default payment method does not automatically update existing subscriptions or installment orders; those need to be updated individually. Using a dedicated SolCard can make those continuing Shop Pay obligations easier to track and swap when needed.
