Book the ride through DTC's normal channels
Take a red-roof taxi, join the airport queue, or book through Careem, Bolt, or S'hail, then pay your eligible fare with SolCard anywhere Dubai Taxi accepts card payments or in-app checkout.
Why SolCard fits Dubai Taxi's mixed fare rules
Dubai Taxi is not a single-app merchant. DTC lets riders book via Careem, Bolt, or S'hail, hail a red-roof taxi on Dubai streets, or join official airport and exclusive-location queues, so SolCard is useful across the channels where DTC already takes card-style payments.
DTC publishes different opening fares for street hails, app bookings, exclusive locations, and airport pickups, and the final total can also include per-kilometer charges, Salik tolls, Sharjah's extra AED 20 fee, and 50 fils per minute of waiting time. SolCard helps with the full metered amount rather than only the base fare.
Careem's Hala help pages say riders in Dubai can select Cash when booking, then pay inside the taxi with a physical credit, debit, or Nol card on the POS machine. That makes SolCard relevant even when the ride is not being charged to the app itself.
DTC airport taxis operate from Dubai International, Al Maktoum, and Port Rashid, with published starting fares of AED 20 for a normal airport taxi and AED 25 for airport vans or Port Rashid pickups. DTC also says its taxis can pick up in Dubai and drop riders anywhere in the UAE, which matters on higher-value airport or cross-emirate trips.
Careem lists Hala Max for groups of up to six and Hala Kids with ISO-fixed child seats and a 5-point harness, while DTC says airport riders can request a baby seat from the airport taxi organizer. SolCard still works through the same supported payment methods when you need a ride type beyond a standard sedan.
If you book Hala through Careem with an active Careem Plus subscription, Careem says the 10% credit-back offer is applied on the booking page and eligible Hala rides can return up to AED 7 to your Pay Wallet after the ride ends. SolCard funds the fare itself without removing that app-side benefit.

About Dubai Taxi
Dubai Taxi is the consumer taxi service of Dubai Taxi Company (DTC), covering street-hail taxis in Dubai, app bookings through Careem, Bolt, and S'hail, airport taxi queues at DXB, DWC, and Port Rashid, and specialized ride types such as Hala Max, Hala EV, Hala Kids, Families and Ladies Taxi, and People of Determination vehicles. Riders pay real transport charges rather than a flat membership: the opening fare changes by booking channel and location, then the meter adds per-kilometer charges, waiting time, Salik tolls, and the Sharjah surcharge when applicable. Dubai Taxi's official payment pages list cash, cards, NOL cards, app wallets, and in-app card payments, but they do not advertise a native crypto checkout, so SolCard gives you a way to cover eligible Dubai Taxi fares with crypto through the card-based flow the service already supports.
Dubai Taxi, Hala, and fare payment FAQ
Dubai Taxi Company and Careem's Hala help pages describe payment methods such as cash, credit or debit cards, Nol card, app wallet or credits, Apple Pay, Careem Pay, and similar local card flows. They do not list a native cryptocurrency payment option, so SolCard is the practical way to pay Dubai Taxi with crypto while staying inside a supported payment path.
