Book Bolt Rides with Crypto

Bolt markets Reserve for airport pickups, meetings, and other planned trips, and says riders can schedule a car from 30 minutes to 90 days in advance. SolCard gives you one saved payment method for both spontaneous rides and planned travel.

Bolt says a reserved ride may trigger a temporary pending charge so the bank can verify your card before pickup. SolCard fits that documented preauthorisation step because Bolt still processes it as a standard card validation.

Bolt's passenger terms say the final amount can include wait time, tolls, airport surcharges, cancellation fees, and optional tips. That matters when the total ride charge is not identical to the first estimate shown in the app.

Bolt says payment options depend on your city: riders may see in-app cards, Bolt Balance, cash, or mobile payments depending on location. Its card-setup guidance also says the card must allow recurring e-commerce transactions. SolCard is most useful in that documented card flow, because Bolt does not advertise direct cryptocurrency checkout for ride-hailing.

Bolt warns that an unpaid previous ride can stop you from requesting the next one until the balance is settled, and support articles explain that failed charges can roll into negative Bolt Balance. Keeping SolCard funded is practical if you rely on Bolt regularly.

Bolt can email ride receipts, resend them from trip history, and attach VAT details when you set up a work or fiscal profile. That is useful for business travel where you want Bolt's own invoice trail instead of separate crypto payment records.
