Spend wBTC and wETH With a Crypto Card
You can now top up your SolCard with wrapped Bitcoin (wBTC) and wrapped Ether (wETH) on Solana. If some of your Bitcoin or Ether exposure already sits in a Solana wallet, you can move it straight onto a Visa or Mastercard debit card and spend it anywhere cards are accepted. You don't need to swap to a stablecoin first. They join the assets SolCard already accepts: SOL, USDC and USDT on Solana and the major EVM networks, plus USDT on Tron, USDG and EURC.
wBTC stands for wrapped Bitcoin, a token that represents BTC on a blockchain other than Bitcoin's own. The original Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC) is an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, backed 1:1 by BTC held with a custodian.
On Solana, the widely held version is WBTC bridged by Portal (Wormhole). Portal locks WBTC on Ethereum and issues the same amount on Solana. That Solana token is the one SolCard accepts.
wETH stands for wrapped Ether. On Ethereum, WETH is ETH packaged as an ERC-20 token, so apps can handle it like any other token. On Solana, ETH can't exist natively, so the Ether you see in Solana wallets and DeFi apps is almost always a bridged token.
SolCard accepts WETH bridged by Portal (Wormhole), Solana's most widely used wrapped Ether.
Several different "wrapped BTC" and "wrapped ETH" tokens exist on Solana, and they aren't interchangeable. SolCard credits these two mints:

Check the mint in your wallet before you send. Most Solana wallets show it on the token's detail page, and you can look up either address on Solscan. Other Bitcoin or Ether tokens on Solana, such as cbBTC, zBTC or tBTC, are different mints and won't be credited as wBTC. WBTC and WETH held on Ethereum or other EVM chains can't be sent directly to a Solana deposit address either.
- Open your card in the SolCard dashboard and choose Deposit.
- Pick WBTC (Solana) or WETH (Solana). The dashboard shows the minimum and maximum for your card.
- From a Solana wallet, send the amount shown to the deposit address.
- Once the deposit confirms on-chain, it's converted to US dollars and loaded onto your card.

Normally, spending Bitcoin or Ether with a card means selling it on an exchange, withdrawing a stablecoin, and then topping up. Each step adds a fee, a delay, and one more chance to send to the wrong address. If your BTC or ETH already sits on Solana as wBTC or wETH, you can skip those steps. It goes from your wallet to your card in one transfer.
SolCard cards are denominated in US dollars, so your wBTC or wETH is converted to USD when the deposit confirms. From then on, your card balance doesn't move with the BTC or ETH price. Yes. SolCard accepts WBTC (Portal) on Solana. Pick WBTC (Solana) in the dashboard and send it to the deposit address shown. It's converted to US dollars and loaded onto your Visa or Mastercard card, which works anywhere cards are accepted.
Yes. SolCard accepts WETH (Portal) on Solana, using the mint listed in the table above. Choose WETH (Solana) in the dashboard and send from a Solana wallet.
No. wBTC is a token that tracks the value of Bitcoin on another blockchain and is backed by BTC held in reserve. You can't send native BTC to a wBTC deposit address, and you can't send wBTC to a Bitcoin address.
Not directly. SolCard accepts the Portal (Wormhole) versions on Solana only. WBTC or WETH sent on Ethereum, Base, Arbitrum or another EVM chain to a Solana deposit address won't arrive.
Yes. SolCard cards are denominated in US dollars, so wBTC and wETH are converted to USD when the deposit confirms on-chain. After that, your card balance doesn't change with the crypto price.
It won't be credited as wBTC. Tokens like cbBTC, zBTC or tBTC have different mint addresses. Always check that the mint in your wallet matches the one listed above before sending.
