Verified on Virtual for AI & Ad Spend

SolCard customers have successfully paid Venice.ai with the Virtual for AI & Ad Spend card (as of October 2026). Top it up with USDT, USDC, USDG, EURC, ETH, BNB, POL, AVAX, HYPE, wBTC, wETH or SOL: $10 for the card, 5% per top-up. Get Virtual for AI & Ad Spend.

Yes, Venice.ai accepts crypto directly. Its own 2026 guide to paying for AI with crypto says Venice takes BTC and USDC at checkout, and that staking 100 VVV gets you Venice Pro. Developers can also fund the API with USDC from a Base or Solana wallet. Venice is one of the few AI companies where a card is optional.

So the question here isn't whether you can pay with crypto. It's which of four routes fits how you use Venice. This guide compares them, lists current plan prices, and explains when a crypto-funded card still makes sense.

How to pay for Venice with crypto in 3 steps

  1. Pick a route. BTC or USDC at checkout for a plan, staked VVV for Pro, USDC wallet top-ups for the API, or a crypto-funded card for everything.
  2. Open Pricing on venice.ai and choose a plan, or open the API dashboard to add credits.
  3. Pay and confirm. For a card, enter the number, expiry and CVV. For crypto, follow the checkout's wallet steps.

Venice.ai plans and prices

From Venice's pricing page, October 2026:

PlanMonthlyYearlyMonthly credits
Free$0$0None; 10 text and 15 image prompts a day
Pro$18$216100
Pro Plus$68$8167,500, with credit banking
Max$200$2,40022,500, with 3-month credit banking

Venice credits are its universal currency for video, music, premium models and the API: 100 credits equal $1. Pro gives unlimited text prompts and 1,000 images a day. For API-heavy users, Venice says Pro Plus includes $75 of monthly API spend and Max $225.

Our view: if you hold BTC or USDC and pay once a year, Venice's own crypto checkout is the simplest choice and avoids a card fee. The card is for the other cases.

When a crypto-funded card makes sense on Venice

A card doesn't beat Venice's native crypto options on cost. It wins on three practical points:

  • Coins Venice doesn't take. If your funds are in USDT, SOL, ETH or something else, a card you top up with that asset avoids a swap.
  • Monthly renewals on autopilot. A saved card renews each month without a fresh crypto payment.
  • One card for many AI tools. If you also pay for Claude or OpenRouter, which don't take crypto, one balance funds them all.
What you buyCard chargeSolCard fee at 5%
Venice Pro, monthly$18$0.90
Venice Pro, yearly$216$10.80
Pro Plus, monthly$68$3.40

Add the one-time $10 card fee in your first month. The 5% applies to each card top-up, not to Venice's charge.

Why a Venice card payment gets declined

Venice doesn't publish a card decline guide. The usual causes for crypto-funded cards at AI checkouts:

  • Not enough on the card when the subscription renews.
  • A prepaid card the processor rejects. This is why Virtual for AI & Ad Spend exists; many prepaid cards fail at AI merchants.
  • Mismatched billing details. Use the name and address on your SolCard account.
  • Fast repeated retries, which look like card testing. Wait before trying again.
  • 3D Secure. Complete the 3D Secure prompt if the first charge asks for it.

If a card keeps failing, Venice's BTC or USDC checkout is a real fallback, which is more than most AI services offer.

Paying Venice with SolCard

SolCard built Virtual for AI & Ad Spend for AI tools, API credits and ad platforms. SolCard customers have paid Venice.ai with it, so it works as the card behind a monthly Venice plan.

What it doesn't do: it won't beat Venice's direct crypto checkout on fees, and it's a virtual card only, with no Apple Pay or Google Pay. For a wider view of which AI services take crypto, see the AI subscriptions you can pay for with crypto.

Frequently asked questions

Does Venice.ai accept crypto?

Yes. Venice says it accepts BTC and USDC at checkout, and that staking 100 VVV gets you Pro. The API also accepts USDC top-ups from a Base or Solana wallet. A crypto-funded card is an extra option, not the only one.

How much is Venice Pro?

Venice Pro costs $18 a month or $216 a year. It includes all Pro models, unlimited text prompts, 1,000 images a day and 100 credits a month. Pro Plus is $68 a month and Max is $200.

What are Venice credits worth?

100 Venice credits equal $1. Credits pay for video, music, premium models and API usage. Pro Plus and Max let unused credits roll forward for two and three months.

Can I pay for the Venice API with USDC?

Yes. Venice supports x402 wallet top-ups in USDC from Base or Solana, with no account required. Venice also offers DIEM, minted from staked VVV, where 1 DIEM is worth $1 a day of compute.

Does a crypto card work on Venice?

Yes. SolCard customers have successfully paid Venice.ai with the Virtual for AI & Ad Spend card as of October 2026. It costs $10 to issue and 5% per top-up.

The bottom line

Venice is the rare AI service where crypto is a first-class payment method, so start there. Pay in BTC or USDC if you hold them, and top up the API from a wallet if you build on it. Venice also offers Pro for staked VVV. Reach for a card only when your crypto is in the wrong coin, or when you want Venice on the same balance as the AI tools that won't take crypto at all.
