SolCard customers have successfully paid WaveSpeedAI with the Virtual for AI & Ad Spend card (as of October 2026). Top it up with USDT, USDC, USDG, EURC, ETH, BNB, POL, AVAX, HYPE, wBTC, wETH or SOL: $10 for the card, 5% per top-up. Get Virtual for AI & Ad Spend.
WaveSpeedAI doesn't accept crypto. Its pricing FAQ lists credit and debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay, with wire transfer for enterprise customers. To pay from a wallet, top up a crypto-funded card and buy credits with it.
WaveSpeedAI is a pay-per-use API for image, video and language models, from its own models to Seedream, Kling, Veo and GPT Image. There are no monthly fees. You add credits and spend them per generation. This guide covers the prices, how the size of a single top-up sets your account level, and how to fund it from crypto.
- Get a crypto-funded card. Virtual for AI & Ad Spend is a prepaid virtual card you top up with stablecoins or other crypto.
- Sign in to WaveSpeedAI and open the billing or top-up page.
- Choose an amount and pay by card. Decide the amount with account levels in mind (below).
- Generate. Each call is deducted from your credit balance at the model's listed price.
"WaveSpeed uses a pay-per-use model. You only pay for what you generate. There are no monthly fees or commitments," per its pricing FAQ. Eligible new accounts get $1 in free credits with no card required, though some premium models aren't available on trial credits.
Starting prices from the pricing page, October 2026:
| Model | Type | Starting price | Per $1 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Seedream 5.0 Flash | Image | $0.027 per image | 37 images |
| Nano Banana Pro | Image | $0.14 per image | 7 images |
| GPT Image 2.5 | Image | $0.01 per image | 100 images |
| Seedance 2.5 | Video | $0.18 per second | 5.5 seconds |
| Kling 4.0 | Video | $0.157 per second | 6.3 seconds |
| Veo 3.1 Fast | Video | $0.10 per second | 10 seconds |
| Wan 3.0 | Video | $0.05 per second | 20 seconds |
These are list prices at the lowest resolution or quality. Real cost rises with resolution and duration. Language models are priced per million tokens; Claude Opus 5.5, for example, lists at $4 input and $20 output.
WaveSpeedAI has four account levels, and they are set by the size of a single successful top-up, not your total spend:
| Level | How you reach it |
|---|---|
| Bronze | Default |
| Silver | Any successful top-up below $1,000 |
| Gold | One top-up of $1,000 to $4,999 |
| Ultra | One top-up of $5,000 or more |
WaveSpeedAI's FAQ adds that "a top-up upgrades only to the tier selected by that single top-up amount." Ten $100 top-ups keep you at Silver; one $1,000 top-up reaches Gold.
Our view: if you need Gold-level access, plan one larger top-up instead of several small ones, and make sure the card holds the full amount plus the SolCard fee before you start. A partial failure on a big charge is the most likely way to get stuck.
| WaveSpeedAI top-up | Card charge | SolCard fee at 5% |
|---|---|---|
| $50 | $50 | $2.50 |
| $200 | $200 | $10 |
| $1,000 (Gold) | $1,000 | $50 |
Add the one-time $10 card fee in your first month. The 5% applies to each top-up of the card, not to WaveSpeedAI's charge.
WaveSpeedAI doesn't publish a decline guide. These are the common causes on crypto-funded cards at AI checkouts:
- Not enough on the card for the full top-up. Large Gold or Ultra top-ups need the whole amount at once.
- A prepaid card the checkout's risk rules reject. Many prepaid cards fail at AI merchants; Virtual for AI & Ad Spend was built for them.
- Mismatched billing details. Use the name and address on your SolCard account.
- A large first charge. Big first purchases are flagged more often. Complete the 3D Secure prompt if one appears.
- Fast retries, which can trigger a temporary block. Wait before trying again.
SolCard built Virtual for AI & Ad Spend for AI tools, API credits and ad platforms. SolCard customers have paid WaveSpeedAI with it, so you can fund generation credits from your wallet.
What it doesn't do: it doesn't lower model prices, and it's a virtual card only, with no Apple Pay or Google Pay. If you also use video tools with their own apps, the same card covers Kling AI and Runway, and GPU rentals on RunPod.
No. WaveSpeedAI accepts credit and debit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, WeChat Pay and Alipay, depending on region. To pay from a wallet, use a crypto-funded card. SolCard customers have paid WaveSpeedAI with the Virtual for AI & Ad Spend card as of October 2026.
No. WaveSpeedAI is pay-per-use with no monthly fees. You add credits and pay per image, per second of video, or per million tokens, at each model's listed price.
Levels depend on a single top-up: any top-up below $1,000 gives Silver, one top-up of $1,000 to $4,999 gives Gold, and $5,000 or more gives Ultra. Several smaller top-ups don't add up to a higher level.
Yes. Eligible new accounts get $1 in free credits, and no credit card is needed to sign up. Some premium models aren't available with trial credits.
WaveSpeedAI lists Kling 4.0 from $0.157 per second of video, about 6.3 seconds per $1, at the lowest resolution. Higher resolutions cost more.
WaveSpeedAI is simple to budget: no plan, just credits at a listed price per output. The one decision that matters is the size of each top-up, because a single charge sets your account level. Decide the level you need first, then fund the card for that one payment.
