Why SolCard fits EVgo's billing model
EVgo's paid plans bill monthly at $6.99 for EVgo Plus and $12.99 for EVgo PlusMax, and EVgo says those subscription fees are charged on your anniversary day rather than applied as charging credit. SolCard lets you route those recurring plan costs through crypto instead of a bank card.
EVgo says receipts and transaction history are available for sessions tied to your EVgo account. Guest payments made directly at a station are processed separately and are not linked to the account, so storing SolCard in EVgo is the cleaner option if you want a usable billing record.
EVgo's pricing page says credit-card sessions started at the station carry a $2.99 transaction fee. Its account plans bill differently: Pay As You Go has a $0.99 session fee, while EVgo Plus and PlusMax remove session fees in exchange for monthly subscription charges.
Autocharge+ lets eligible vehicles start charging by simply plugging in, but enrollment happens in the EVgo app and the session still bills through your EVgo account. If your car qualifies, SolCard can sit behind that flow without changing how Autocharge+ works at the charger.
EVgo pricing varies by state or region, by station, and in some locations by time of use. Reservations also depend on plan: EVgo Plus and PlusMax include free reservations, while Pay As You Go lists a $3 reservation fee, so the amount billed can change from stop to stop.
EVgo notes that some stations do not accept payment outside the EVgo app or RFID card, and support for Apple Pay or Google Pay can vary by station. Keeping SolCard on file in your EVgo account is a better fit for repeat charging than depending on one-off guest payment hardware.

About EVgo
EVgo is a U.S. public fast-charging network where drivers pay for DC fast charging sessions, optional charger reservations, and monthly plans such as EVgo Plus and EVgo PlusMax. Billing can run through the EVgo app, the web account portal, Autocharge+-linked account sessions, or one-off credit card payments at the station, with rates varying by plan, location, and in some areas time of use. EVgo's public payment guidance focuses on cards and account billing rather than a native crypto checkout, so SolCard gives you a practical way to fund EVgo charging with crypto while staying inside EVgo's normal payment flow.
EVgo billing and payment FAQ
EVgo's public signup, pricing, and payment help pages describe account billing, major credit and debit cards, and limited Apple Pay or Google Pay support at some stations. They do not mention a native cryptocurrency checkout. Based on those public materials, EVgo does not appear to accept crypto directly, so SolCard is the practical way to pay EVgo with crypto.
